This Little Piggy Went to Market
Indeed I did go to market today, to do some Christmas shopping, so if you are on my gift list you need to stop reading NOW. The rest of you need to pay attention, and you too can find out where to buy some scrumptious chocolates for the people on your list.
Yes, today I stopped in at Chez Piggy in downtown Salmon Arm, BC, Canada. Now if you’ve never been to Salmon Arm, it alone is worth a visit. And if you’ve never had chocolates from Chez Piggy, what are you waiting for? It can be a little difficult to find this shop, tucked into a back alley across from a big parking lot. But these tastes are well worth the search. Do you ever watch The Amazing Race where teams have to find an obscure shop in a labyrinth of roads and pathways in some foreign country where nobody speaks anything resembling English? Well, if those racers can find those shops just so they can eat some disgusting concoction made of fish eyeballs, you can find Chez Piggy!
I bought the truffles (shh!) from a wonderful older lady who assured me “you can never go wrong with truffles”. Of course you can’t! They also make cakes of all kinds from tiramisu to chocolate cheesecake to wedding cakes so I have something to go back for another day (not the wedding cake). In fact, with almost three weeks left until Christmas, I think I may have to go back to buy more truffles. These ones definitely need to be devoured by me.
