The Story of Chocolate at Science World

Wouldn’t you have just loved to study chocolate in Science class? Well, right now at Science World in Vancouver, British Columbia, you can do just that. Their feature exhibit, The Story of Chocolate, runs until May 6, 2007, which should give you plenty of time to see and experience all that they have to offer. The exhibit is sponsored by Purdy’s, and features the history of our love affair with chocolate along with details about the cocao plant and about chocolate in society.
Adults can also purchase tickets to take part in some special evening events. This Friday, March 30th is Sweet Flicks, where you can watch the movie Chocolat and enjoy the same delectable treats served in the movie. Saturday, April 28th would be a romantic couple’s night out at Like Wine for Chocolate. That evening you can sample both wine and chocolate, all while being entertained by some soothing jazz. And finally on Saturday, May 5th take in the Iron Chocolatier competition, and watch local chefs create their own chocolate masterpieces.
