Other than chocolate chip cookies, I love the Famous chocolate wafer cake which is chocolate wafers with whipped cream between them and then covered like a log. Not fat free but oh so good.

The best chocolate sweet is of course a homemade chocolate chip cookie: dark chocolate chunks, walnuts and pecans. Yummy…..life does not get any better than this.

The best chocolate experience I’ve ever had was at a little family diner in South East Michigan.
They called it the chocolate bomb. It looked like a mini dark brown bunt cake under a river of hot fudge, but the inside was a brownie/fudge taste explosion.
This decedent little cake was less then 4 inches wide and 3 inches high, but so rich four young and healthy grown adults couldn’t polish off the entire thing.
It was the BEST “period” food ever tasted!
Sadly it was taken off the menu shortly after we discovered it.

My favorite just changed recently. A friend of mine made these cookies as a thank you gift to me. They were white chocolate chunk with fresh cranberries.
The tartness of the berries worked well with the sweetness of the chocolate.
I’m usually one of those sickos who can eat just one cookie or two…but these are the rare exception!

When I was a child my mother made a bar call 7 Layer cookie. It was sooooo good and rich and as we didn’t like butterscotch mom used dark choc and milk chocolate , making it really a decadent choc rush :)

Well, it is hard to choose ONE! I don’t think you can beat the smell of chocolate chip cookies baking, but my all time favorite has to be a chocolate espresso torte! It is like a giant supermoist brownie flavored with awesome espresso, then poured down on the top and sides is velvety smooth chocolate ganache~Seriously the best flour-less cake ever…fills the house with the BEST smell ever. :0)

And yet, the 2 basics we always go back to & never get enough of are #1) chocolate chip cookies & #2) brownies. It’s hard to improve upon perfection & while simple, these basic 2 treats always satisfy!

My very favorite chocolate treat is the Chocolate Rum Balls that my family makes every year during the holidays. They bring back fond memories of my childhood when we would all get together to produce boxes fo these tasty treats to give to people as gifts. Let a Dove dark chocolate melt in my mouth. Last a long time, very rich, 1 is sufficient. Some of the cheaper milk chocolate varieties out there require more than 1 to quiet the screaming voice in my head ;)

My favorite chocolate treat (that I can make anyway) is called triple chocolate cake. And it is really easy to make too. It has to be chilled though before eating so that the chocolate chips re-solidify.

Have you got any idea what a hard assignment that is?? Just one favorite chocolate thing? There is no such thing. I like chocolate cake and chocolate ice cream and chocolate chip cookies and chocolate chips straight out of the bag will do in a pinch. Snickers and Reese’s cups and Hershey’s with almonds and Dark M&Ms and I could go on and on. The only thing I don’t like is cheesecake.
Send the cookbook and I’ll bake my way thru it. If you are close enuf you can come over and taste test with me!
