Chocolate Sauce

Sauce that runs like a river of chocolate is one of the true pleasures in life. I’ve got nothing against the regular grocery store sauces, they’ll do in a pinch, but homemade chocolate sauce tastes so much more sinful. In this case sinful is good. While chocolate sauce is especially good over ice cream, it is also yummy slathered on top of cake, and if you pour it over fruit it is just like health food! Of course there is absolutely nothing wrong with eating chocolate sauce au natural. No, I don’t mean while naked, I mean just straight up with a spoon.
Ingredients:
2/3 cup cocoa powder
1-2/3 cups sugar
1-1/4 cups water
1 tsp vanilla
Combine cocoa powder, sugar, and water in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, then simmer, stirring constantly, until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and add vanilla.
