Chocolate, Elvis style!
To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the death of Elvis Presley, Reese’s released a Peanut Butter & Banana Creme Reese’s cup. I have yet to try them, as much as I’ve tried to get some. Hopefully they’ll be around a little while longer until I locate them. At first they sounded gross but seriously, peanut butter, banana and chocolate… I fail to find anything weird when you break it down like that! :D Check out Candy Blog’s review.

14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
3 tablespoons green creme de menthe
2 tablespoons white creme de cacao
1 cup whipped cream
In a bowl crush the Oreos to make 1 3/4 cups of crumbs, reserve 1/4 cup for garnish. Pat the remaining crumbs on the bottom and sides of buttered 9-inch pie pan. Set the crust aside. In a medium bowl combine the condensed milk, creme de menthe, creme de cacao, and whipped cream. Mix thoroughly. Pour the mixture into the crust. Top with the remaining crumbs. Freeze pie for 6 hours. Makes 8 servings.

Oh, man…..does that sound good…..incidentally, I’ve tried the Reese’s banana thingie….all I’ll say is that it’s….interesting….different……not sure I’d go for it all the time, tho ;-)

H - yeah, I can’t see it being a constant snack kind of thing. Where were you able to find them?

One of my co-workers saw them in Giant (supermarket) and told me about them cuz I love Reese’s and I kinda dig Elvis :-) I checked all the usual spots for them but couldn’t find them anywhere - let me tell you how hard it is to find the Snapple Early Grey Iced Tea and I love that stuff!
Anyway, two of the girls in work and I went wandering one morning (we do that now and again when the supervisor is spazzin’- ha!) and wound up in a RiteAid Pharmacy near my work - they had a massive display with like three of the banana thingies on it…we bought all three, they each took one and I shared mine with Bill…everyone pretty much had the same reaction, though.
Totally long reply when one word could have done…..that’s me :-)
